Meet The Owner
Dave Smith, Founder of Trinity HomeSmith, brings over 40 years of hands-on experience, leadership, and service in the home improvement and building industry. A licensed MHIC Contractor since 1988 (Lic. #32625), Dave is a skilled carpenter by trade, but his talents extend far beyond woodworking. Naturally mechanical and highly industrious, he’s spent a lifetime creating, fixing, and building—with purpose and precision.
A Career Built on Craftsmanship and Integrity
In the 1980s, Dave began his career in the trades with companies like Martin Marietta, R&R Homes, and Yensho’s Woodshop. From there he started his own Home Improvement Business to include work such as kitchen and bathroom remodels, home additions, decks, finished basements, and full-scale renovations, Dave built a solid reputation grounded in craftsmanship and trust.
In the mid-1990s, he transitioned into the corporate world, where he served for 30 successful years in senior leadership roles at Stanley Black & Decker / DEWALT and dormakaba.
Despite his success in the boardroom, Dave’s passion for hands-on work never left. He eventually returned to his roots, launching Trinity HomeSmith—a business rooted in his values.
